Dear College Community:
The fall 2020 semester at Florida Southern College was a historic learning experience for our campus community. I am gratified that our on-campus students, faculty, and staff have embraced protocols to keep us as healthy as possible during this pandemic. I am also tremendously grateful for the dedication and patience of our students who were remote learners this fall.
The low-density model that was implemented in the fall—along with rapid-response testing, random testing, contact tracing, quarantine and isolation procedures, masks, temperature checks, classroom and campus common space cleaning, social distancing, and much more—resulted in an enviable successful completion of the semester.
Following on the success of the fall semester, the FSC community has worked diligently to create a spring semester plan designed to keep students, faculty, and staff as safe as possible. In the pages that follow, you will discover a comprehensive plan that requires the participation of every individual in our community. A commitment to the safety of one another is an essential partnership as we begin another semester.
As global and local conditions continue to develop, alterations to this plan will be shared accordingly. Please refer to www.flsouthern.edu/FSCares and follow the College on social media for news and updates. Questions can be emailed to FSCares@flsouthern.edu.
Because global and local conditions may change, this plan may also be revised, and subsequent alterations will be shared accordingly. Please visit this website and follow the College on social media for news and updates. For any questions, please email FSCares@flsouthern.edu.
Florida Southern College is fortunate to have a responsible student body and dedicated faculty and staff. Thank you for helping us to achieve our mission of making a positive and consequential impact in the world.
