Intramural Sports


In the mood for some friendly competition?

Intramural Sports offer a range of activities including individual, dual, and team sports such as basketball, dodgeball, flag football, soccer, softball, tennis, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball.

Intramurals are open to current FSC students, faculty, and staff and you don’t need to be a star athlete to participate. Play for the fun, physical activity, and sportsmanship!

Registration Information

Fall 2016

Intramural league and tournament registrations are open for approximately two weeks. To sign up for individual and team sports please visit our IM Leagues page to register your team. Prior to signing up please have your teams availability ready. Each captain will receive a confirmation email from the intramural staff shortly after they register for an individual or team sport.

Special Events

NIRSA Day Events (Rock Paper Scissors, 3 point Contest, Free Throw Contest, and the Fitness Challenge) are drop in sports. No registration is required.

March Madness Registrations can be found at the Hollis Wellness Center.

Slots are filled first come first serve. It is possible that all spots could fill up prior to the deadline so register early. In rare cases the office may accept a late entry if league space allows. To avoid not being able to play, register early!

Sports Rules & Information

Intramural Sports General Policies

  • Athletic attire must be worn to participate in intramural games. Athletic shirts, shorts, and closed-toed shoes must be worn. Shirts worn during intramural play must not have an opening at the sleeve that exceeds a one-fist measurement below the armpit.
  • For sports utilizing flag belts, participants may not wear shorts/pants with pockets, as this is a safety hazard. Those sports include flag football and capture the flag.
  • Wearing jewelry is prohibited during intramural play, with the exception of medical jewelry. The intramural staff will not provide tape to cover jewelry, with the exception of medical bracelets or necklaces.
  • FSC Intramural Sports does not provide insurance to its participants. We are not responsible for any injury that may occur to individuals participating in any wellness activity. Participants take part in our activities understanding that there are risks involved in athletic competition.
  • All participants must show their Student, Staff, or Faculty ID Card to participate in any intramural event. A verification slip from safety may be used in the event of a lost ID, but must be presented along with a photo ID for intramural participation.
  • Additional policies are in place for each individual sport. These policies are reviewed at the pre-season captains’ meeting for each sport. Any additional questions can be directed to Jason Darby at
