In group therapy, not only do students receive tremendous understanding, support, and encouragement from others facing similar issues, but they also gain different perspectives, ideas, and viewpoints on those issues. It is a form of helping in which a small number of people come together under the guidance of a professionally trained therapist to help themselves and one another address mental health and other personal concerns. Talk to a clinician and ask about our group counseling program to get connected and learn more. A pre-group appointment with the facilitator is needed before attending a therapy group. Call the Counseling Center at 863-680-6236 to ask about current groups being held for the semester.

Even the most successful relationships have conflict. It’s not the presence of the conflict but rather how it’s managed that predicts success or failure. This group will allow you to learn about building and maintaining healthy intimate relationships. You’ll be able to share own experiences and receive feedback with the goal of identifying functional vs dysfunctional patters. Some of the content reviewed will be based of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
