FSC 3968 Professional Development for STEM Application is a 2-credit hour course is designed to prepare students for internship, employment, and graduate school opportunities in STEM fields. Topics include: professionalism, communication, personal branding, networking, professional materials (resumes, cover letters, personal statements, applications, etc.), interviewing, graduate school, career planning, research, technology, and more. At the conclusion of the course, students will have a more comprehensive plan for pursuing their chosen profession, as well as an understanding of the skills necessary to be successful.
