I'm not interested in spending 16 months reading a textbook. I want to use what I’m learning. Getting practical experience is really important for what I want to do with my career. That's why I chose FSC.
FSC's MBA sharpened my managerial skills. Getting a group of smart, strong-minded people to work as a team, knowing when to let others lead, knowing how to get everybody's ideas heard—that has helped me so much in my career.
I work in the nonprofit sector where the leaders are full of heart. I wanted an MBA to balance that heart with business know-how. FSC was fabulous about helping me find ways to do that.
The opportunity to get a graduate assistantship was one of the things that appealed to me about Florida Southern's MBA program.
I've been to Asia on business many times, but traveling to Vietnam and Hong Kong as part of the MBA's international field experience—having those interactions with the other students and the professor — was a fantastic opportunity.
I thought FSC's international experience would be a great resume builder. I never thought I’d be working on a project where the same international issues I studied would be playing out in front of me.
