Scheduling of classes is flexible for most of the degree requirements. The six upper-level accounting courses required for the major are only offered on campus and in a 14-week long semester to ensure student success and prepare our students to sit for the CPA exam.

* If less than 25 credit hours have been earned from a regionally accredited college or university, official high school transcripts and ACT or SAT testing are also required.

Florida Southern College is one of the few schools in the state with a CPA Review program.
Our accounting program prepares a student to complete the 150-hour academic requirement to become a CPA, and includes a CPA Review Course to help you prepare for the exam*.
* Completion of the B.S. (bachelor’s degree) in Accounting and the MAcc (Master of Accountancy degree) will prepare the student for CPA licensure, including the 150 hours of academic credit. A student who desires to be licensed as a CPA in the State of Florida will also need to pass the CPA Exam and to complete one year of supervised experience.
