Where are you from?
What is your favorite spot on Florida Southern’s campus?
The unique Water Dome, which includes lovely views of historic Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, picturesque landscaping, and ever-changing Lake Hollingsworth.
What drew you to Florida Southern?
When we moved to Lakeland, I knew I wanted to continue my career in higher education. My first visit to campus instilled in me a desire to do it in this magnificent setting with these wonderful people.
What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I appreciate the liveliness and optimism of college students. I love the attitude that anything is possible, and why not start now!
Describe a perfect Saturday in Lakeland.
Lakeland has so many choices! I would most likely start the day in the pool with my family, and then head to several of Lakeland’s many thrift shops to hunt for treasures. Dinner would be at King’s Wok, and finally I’d end the day with the latest Disney movie at Lakeland Square Mall.
What are your favorite hangouts or restaurants in Lakeland?
I am still discovering all Lakeland has to offer, but so far I love Harry’s for authentic New Orleans food, Garden Bistro for lunch overlooking Lake Mirror, and Cozy Oaks for café comfort food.
