Coach Roger Skalko

Roger has skied competitively for most of his life, and still competes in the Slalom event in the Men’s 6 category.  Roger is ranked first in Florida in Slalom for Men’s 6 with a performance of 5 buoys at 35 feet off for 2009.  Roger came to FSC from the USA Water Ski Headquarters in Polk City where he was presiding over the construction/rehabilitation of Lake Grew (a top notch ski site located on the property of USA Water Ski Headquarters). 

Roger is a skilled driver, judge and safety with USA Water Ski.  Tournament directors across the world request for him to drive their tournaments.  World ranked skiers request for Roger to drive for them in tournaments and practice.  The FSC Water Ski team has benefited from his depth of knowledge of the sport and from his expert driving on the lake.  Roger has increased the awareness of the Water Ski Team by offering Water Ski Clinics to the student body and teaching the Water Ski course in the department of Physical Education.
