The Florida Southern College Wellness Program is designed to promote the full potential of each student by encouraging a holistic lifestyle focused on health, fitness, and recreation. Last year alone, the Wellness Center had more than 65,000 participation's in aquatics, fitness, group exercise classes, intramural sports, and outdoor recreational programs.
Aquatics. Florida Southern's beautiful pool is an eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool with an attached recreational shallow end. This outstanding facility features water basketball and equipment for water volleyball. The pool is open year-round and is heated for winter use. All FSC students, faculty, staff and alumni can access the pool with their current ID card. | More about Aquatics »
Fitness/Group Exercise. Finding what works for you means trying different things and the Wellness Center offers something for everyone. Intramural Sports. Intramural sports are a variety of individual/dual/team events sports available to FSC students, Staff and Faculty. Outdoor Recreation. The FSC outdoor recreation program offers students a variety of fun outdoor activities, such as bicycling, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, and camping. These trips are a great way to meet new friends who share similar interests and to learn new skills. The beautiful, modern Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center officially opened in September 1997, as the result of a $4.1 million gift from Board of Trustees member Marjorie Hollis Roberts. The Center was named after Nina, Marjorie's mother, who was an advocate of health and wellness her entire life.
