Making a difference has its rewards
As parents of a Florida Southern graduate, Mark and Lynn Hollis established the Hollis Fellows in Education Program to provide scholarships to education majors who plan to pursue teaching careers.

Applications have two possible deadline dates. The priority application date is November 1, and applications are due no later than January 6.
To be considered, students must:
- Graduated from a Florida high school in the top 30% of their graduating class
- Earn a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
- 25 ACT or
- 1220 SAT
- Submit a completed FAFSA and demonstrate financial need as determine by the College Financial Aid office.
Scholarships are awarded to first-year students and are renewable each year for those who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Recipients must also sign an agreement to teach for three years in the Florida public school system following graduation from Florida Southern College.
Students who apply by November 1 will be notified if they are selected for an interview by November 9. Students who apply by January 6 will be notified by January 15. Finalists will have an opportunity to interview at Scholars Weekend on November 30, January 25 or February 15.
