Advancing the Flame Scholarship

Awarded to members of the United Methodist Church. Florida Southern will match scholarships up to $1,000 annually for UMC members. Apply by April 1.

Christian Service Awards

Awarded to first-year and transfer students preparing for careers in Christian education, ministry of music, and youth ministry.

Lettie Pate Whitehead

The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Inc. offers scholarships to talented women students of Christian faith, who have financial need, and who reside in one of the Southeastern states.

Minister’s Child Awards

Awarded to children of United Methodist ministers. To be considered, simply complete the necessary portion on your financial aid application.

Pre-Ministerial Awards

Up to $5,000 awarded to pre-ministerial candidates in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church; up to $3,000 awarded to all other Methodist candidates in a formal ministerial track.

$3,000 to 5,000 per year

United Methodist Higher Education Foundation

The UMHEF is a leader in church-related foundations and agencies in providing scholarship support to United Methodist students attending United Methodist higher education institutions.

Other Scholarships

Prestige Scholarships

Prestige Scholarships are Florida Southern’s most esteemed scholarships. Students interviewing for these scholarships represent the top ten percent of FSC’s applicant pool.

Departmental Scholarships

We award departmental scholarships to students pursuing certain academic programs - including business, nursing, music, and education.

Special Interest Scholarships

A variety of scholarships are available to students who meet a designated set of criteria, such as the Hazel Haley and Buelah Kahler scholarships.
