Study Abroad › May Option: Art & Art History in Italy

The 2010 Art and Art History Department May Option program to Italy will embark May 2 from Florida Southern College. The group will fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they will begin a transatlantic cruise to Italy. The ship will make stops in the Canary Islands and Spain before reaching its destination in Italy.

All participants will enroll in one six-hour course. Preparatory coursework will begin during the spring semester, in advance of the trip. Final exams will be given by take-home exam after returning to the United States. The final critique for the photography classes will be in conjunction with an exhibition in the Melvin Art Gallery in the fall. If you need a digital camera for the trip, one can be rented from the department. You are encouraged to take the classes for credit, but you may audit a class. An elective class may be taken pass/fail.

Please contact Mrs. Kitty Oelker, Italia Program Coordinator, in the Theater Department at 863.680.4116 or Dr. Jim Rogers, Italia Program Director, at 863.680.4223, for more information.
