Renowned for its art and architecture and celebrated food and fashion, through this summer program you'll immerse yourself in the language and culture of France.
You'll study at the Centre International d'Etudes Francaises, a language institute based at the Universite Catholique de France, located in the city of Angers, in western France.
Your experience will begin with a three-night stay in Paris, where you will tour the major sites of "La Ville-Lumière", including the Louvre museum, the Paris Opéra, the Eiffel Tower, amongst many others.
While in Angers, you will take three group excursions on the weekends. You will travel to Mont St. Michel, a medieval abbey, various chateaus of the Loire valley, and one other locale to be determined later.
No prior knowledge of French is necessary for participation, as CIDEF offers courses at all levels. Classes meet five days a week and at varying times. Classes will be offered in three categories: Language and Grammar, Conversation, and Lab. All participants will enroll in a one hour course, INT 105, as well as six hours of French (course level determined upon arrival at CIDEF).
