Student Life › Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association is the coordinating and regulating agency of the student body and campus activities. SGA serves as the voice of the student body in matters involving the college administration, faculty, and staff. SGA is responsible for the disbursement of student activity fees to Florida Southern organizations. SGA also works to create campus unity through campus pride, appreciation, and events.
President's Circle
It is mandatory for all recognized student organizations to send one representative. Representatives can represent up to two organizations, with one vote per organization.
Senate
All positions in the Senate are elected by the student body. There are Senators representing each major division:
Safe Ride Home
Need a ride? This is a free and anonymous service to students, providing free cab rides from anywhere in Lakeland back to campus. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Be sure to have your Student ID ready, and to tip the drivers. Key chains with the phone number are available in the SGA Office.
The Ledger
Free local newspapers every day of the week! Pick yours up in the Breezeway, at Branscomb, or outside of Publix, Miller, and Spivey Residence Halls.
Recycling
We are co-sponsoring this program with Outdoor Recreation. Recycled items include: paper, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass. Look for blue bins to place your recyclable items on campus.
