Life and Cultural Center

The Life and Cultural Center provides a wide variety of educational, developmental and social programs for all students. These programs serve as a vehicle for the college community to learn about some of the many volunteer opportunities in the community and the many cultures that are a part of our Florida Southern College family. This includes targeting services for our minority students and international students.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Life and Cultural Center is to provide a variety of quality support services, plan and implement informative and entertaining cultural awareness programs, provide leadership opportunities, and provide a global learning environment for students in order to expand their cultural knowledge and experiences. The Center sponsors programs during nationally recognized celebratory months (as well as other times during the year) to highlight the various cultures represented on campus. Keep a lookout for programs during the following months:

• Hispanic Heritage Month – September
• Annual Cookout – September
• Black History Month – February
• International Awareness Week - April

In addition to administrative offices, the Life and Cultural Center is home to the Community Service Office, the International Student Association and the Multicultural Student Council.

"This past year MSC helped with the event, Step It Up, by Jessica Campbell.  It was an exceptional night.  The various Greek organizations and step teams came and gave their all in their performances, and they showed the crowd a good time.  The food was nothing short of amazing, and also helped the night to be a great success.  In my opinion, Step It Up was truly deserving of the award for Campus Event of the Year."
