It is more than merely community service—
at Florida Southern, "service learning" is a hands-on approach to mastering your subjects that also fosters civic responsibility.

Florida Southern College is an institution committed to preparing students to make positive and important contributions to our world. You'll use what you learn in the classroom to solve real-life problems. Not only will you learn the practical applications of your studies, you'll be actively engaged in making a difference!

Community Service. Combining classroom learning with meaningful service opportunities, you'll develop leadership skills while making a real difference.

Get involved. Discover new interests and make lifelong friends by joining any of our 70+ clubs and student organizations, including service organizations, special interest groups, and campus ministries.

Go Greek. Greek Life is different at Florida Southern with a focus on the four pillars—scholarship, brotherhood/sisterhood, leadership, and service.

SAGA. Through activities inside the classroom and out, Florida Southern's community initiative—Student Awareness Generates Action, otherwise known as SAGA—aims to raise awareness of global concerns and ultimately lead you to action and engagement.

Convocation. The Faith and Life Convocation Series brings outstanding speakers and programs to campus that enlighten and inspire students to make a difference.
