Apply today to start next term on Monday, March 12, 2018
Students are advised to submit applications as early as possible to assure optimal admission and financial aid considerations.
- Official transcripts of all academic work
- Polk County School Board background clearance
- Personal interview
- Academic interest inventory
If less than 25 credit hours have been earned from a regionally accredited college or university, official high school transcripts and ACT or SAT testing are also required.
Florida Southern College is regionally accredited from SACS
Teachers earning a degree in education from a regionally accredited institution may be eligible for additional annual compensation. Florida Southern encourages interested applicants to work with their local school districts to determine eligibility and the level of pay increase.

Our seven-week terms enable full time students to complete 48 credit hours a year.
In cooperation with the local public school system, supervised work experience occurs in school classrooms with students and teachers.
