children

The Roberts Center for Learning and Literacy opened the doors of the Roberts Center Reading Clinic on March 1st, 2009 for the purpose of addressing language and learning differences in struggling readers.

The clinic is housed in the Education Department of Edge Hall on the college campus.  Tutoring sessions are conducted Monday-Thursday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost of tutoring is $35.00 per hour.  Parents or guardians of students that are struggling in reading may contact Jan Register, Administrative Assistant, at the Roberts Center.

Tutoring sessions run an hour in length and are conducted by experienced reading tutors using Orton-Gillingham methods and strategies.

A diagnosis of dyslexia is not necessary to participate in tutoring.
