Florida Southern holds
winter commencement
LAKELAND, Fla. (Dec. 13, 2004) - Approximately 228 Florida Southern College students will receive diplomas at mid-year graduation ceremonies Saturday, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. in Branscomb Auditorium. Mark C. Hollis, Sr., past President and Vice Chairman of Publix Super Markets, Inc., will deliver the commencement address.
Graduating Saturday will be seniors from the college's traditional day program (132), the Lakeland evening program (27), and the Orlando program (62). Seven students will receive their MBA's.
Marcene H. Christoverson, Chairman of the Board and CEO of St. John's Associates, Inc. and a member of the college Board of Trustees, will receive an honorary Doctor of Business degree in recognition of her career in the business industry and her dedication to Florida Southern College.
