Florida Southern
hires new
director of career center
LAKELAND, Fla. (Aug. 25,
2003) - Florida Southern College has named Saul Reyes as director
of the career center. Reyes serves on the staff of the vice president
for student life and is responsible for career center policy formation,
long range planning, budget administration, training and supervision
of staff, and program development and evaluation.
Reyes comes to FSC from Jacksonville University where he served
as director of career services. He earned his bachelor's degree
at Gordon College, Wenham, Mass., and a masters degree in counseling
from West Virginia University at Morgantown. Reyes was involved
with his community as a member of the school board of Mandarin Christian
School and the elder board of Mandarin Christian Church, Jacksonville,
Fla. He served on numerous committees and task forces at Jacksonville
University.
"I appreciate the warm welcome I have received and look forward
to collaborating with faculty and staff to serve Florida Southern
students," Reyes said. He has worked in higher education since 1986
in the areas of career development and academic advising.
