Three FSC graduates
awarded
President's Scholarship Medal
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 6, 2004) - Three
Florida Southern College seniors were awarded the President's Scholarship
Medal during mid-year commencement ceremonies Dec. 20. The scholarship
is awarded to a student with a 3.85 or higher grade point average
and who represents the best qualities of an FSC student, participating
in the life of the college and the community.
Victoria Lynn Burch, a graduate of the Lakeland Evening Program,
majored in business administration/marketing management. The licensed
RN works for Lifeline Home Health Care as director of marketing
and admissions and director of community education. She is a Lakeland,
Fla. resident.
Abby Johannes majored in criminology and sociology. In addition
to receiving the President's Medal, she was chosen as Senior Speaker
at the commencement ceremony. Johannes served as a resident advisor
and president of her sorority, Delta Pi. She is the daughter of
Kenton and Jennifer Johannes of Lakeland, Fla.
Peter Konat graduated from the Orlando Program with an accounting
degree. He achieved a 4.0 grade point average while working full
time as a restaurant supervisor. He and his wife reside in Orlando,
Fla.
