FSC Music department awards announced
LAKELAND, Fla. (April 22, 2004) - The Florida Southern College Department of Music held its student awards ceremony on April 15. The awards and recipients are listed below.
Alfred Coury Woodard Memorial Award (2) - Ivelisse de la Fe, a freshman music performance major and daughter of Luis De la Fe and Alicia Rodriguez of Costa Rica; and Amelia Twinem, a freshman music education major and daughter of Robert and Brenda Twinem of Bradenton, Fla.
Jack Houts Memorial Award (2) - Christoph Barnett, a senior music performance major and son of Curtis and Christine Barnett of Grand Cayman Island; and Sarah Logan, a senior business administration: music management major and daughter of Paul and Donna Logan of Bradenton, Fla.
"Betsy" Award - Charissa Denham, a senior music performance major and daughter of O. Brooks and Patricia Denham of Tampa, Fla.
Presser Scholar Award - Christina Franklin, a junior music performance major and daughter of Robert and Darlene Franklin of Plant City, Fla.
Gayler Senior Music Medal - Bryan O'Steen, a senior music education major and son of Alan and Jeri O'Steen of Lakeland, Fla.
Albert Key Senior Music Awards (2) - Vocal: Diana Placzkowski, a senior music performance major and daughter of John and Michelle Placzkowski of Middleburg, Fla.; and Instrumental: David Sammons, a senior music performance major and son of Robert and Claudia Sammons of Winter Haven, Fla.
Lee R. Ross Memorial Awards (Lakeland Choral Society) (5) - Trista Dollison, a sophomore music performance major and daughter of Clifton and Valerie Dollison of Winter Haven, Fla.; Katherine Koehler, a sophomore music performance major and daughter of Keith and Zofia Koehler of Summerville, S.C.; Brittany Houser, a junior music education major and daughter of Charles and Kimberly Houser of New Port Richey, Fla.; Andrew Miller, a sophomore sacred music major and son of William and Virginia Miller of Lakeland, Fla.; Benjamin Radford, a junior music education major and son of Benjamin and Regina Radford of Poinciana, Fla.
Anne Roselle Vocal Award - Katherine Koehler, a sophomore music performance major and daughter of Keith and Zofia Koehler of Summerville, S.C.
Lowell Mason Music Education Awards (2) - Elizabeth Denson, a senior music education major and daughter of Darryl and Debra Denson of Northport, Fla., and Claudia Bolano, a senior music education major residing in Lakeland, Fla.
