College presents
exhibition of artist Willard Lustenader
LAKELAND, Fla. (Sept. 2, 2003) - Florida
Southern College will present the paintings of artist Willard Lustenader
in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning Sept. 16 and running through
Oct. 13. The artist will discuss his work at the opening reception
held on Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Lustenader enjoys a growing international reputation as a post-modern
painter. Educated as an art historian, Lustenader works references
to historic artworks and painters into his finely finished, naturalistic
paintings and drawings.
The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and
before and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC
Fine Arts Series.
