IMPACT Ministries hosts students
on Florida Southern campus
LAKELAND, Fla. (June 7, 2004) -IMPACT Ministries of Central Florida is hosting 86 middle and high school students on the Florida Southern campus through June 11. The students go into the community each day, performing minor home repairs for Lakeland's underprivileged homeowners.
IMPACT Ministries helps students experience the joy of serving others. Founded in 1998, the hands-on mission organization helps those who are unable to do the work of home repair themselves due to physical impairments, age or economic status. IMPACT will host 450 student and adult leaders during the 8-week summer season this year. All of the work that is preformed by IMPACT is done free of charge to the resident, including labor and materials.
