LAKELAND, Fla. (March
15, 2004) - Florida Southern College welcomes back its alumni on
March 26-28 with fireworks and a parade. The fireworks display over
Lake Hollingsworth, produced by the Grucci family, begins at 8 p.m.
on Friday, the 26th. The parade, taking place Saturday, March 27,
begins at 4 p.m., starting on Callahan Court. The route continues
onto Lake Hollingsworth Drive in front of the college and turns
up Johnson Avenue. The public is invited to enjoy both events.
The fireworks, sponsored by the FSC Alumni Association, and the
parade, sponsored by the Student Government Association, are part
of the annual celebration of homecoming/alumni weekend, March 26-28.
Approximately 500 FSC alumni will return to the area over the weekend.
Traditionally, the events also celebrate the college's association
with the Lakeland community.
