MBA graduate
scores highest in Florida CPA exam
LAKELAND, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2003) - Jeanette
Dugas, a former student at Florida Southern College, received the
highest score in Florida on the May CPA examination. Dugas graduated
from Florida Southern with a bachelor's degree in accounting in
2000 and a master's in business administration in 2002. She received
the Ernst & Young award as the outstanding accounting graduate
in the MBA program.
"Jeanette is one of the brightest accounting students I have ever
had the privilege of instructing," said Dr. John Stancil, FSC accounting
professor. "We in the accounting program are pleased, but not surprised,
at her accomplishment."
Dugas has been employed since 2000 with the State Attorney's Office
as an economic crime investigator. She resides in Winter Haven.
