FSC theater department
presents "The Shadow Box"
LAKELAND, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2002) - Florida Southern's theatre department
presents its opening performance, "The Shadow Box," in the Loca
Lee Buckner Theater on campus. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Oct.
10-12 and 17-19; matinees start at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 20.
Playwright Michael Cristofer's Pulitzer Prize-winning story takes
place at a hospital where three terminal cancer patients dwell in
separate cottages on the hospital's grounds. The play dramatizes
their anxieties and their coming to grips with the finality of their
conditions. This 1997 Tony Award-winner is directed by James F.
Beck, theatre department chair.
Tickets are $15. FSC students are admitted free. Non-FSC students
