Army ROTC commissions
five new lieutenants
LAKELAND, Fla.
(April 25, 2003) - The Florida Southern College Army ROTC commissioned
five new second lieutenants into the United States Army today. The
event, held in the Annie Pfeifer Chapel on campus was followed by
a reception in the Hollis Room.
"This event
is the culmination of four years of hard work, dedication, and commitment
on behalf of these college students," said CPT Charles Seifert,
assistant professor of military science. This year's commissionees
are:
Melissa Blondin,
branched Military Intelligence, Active Duty. Blondin is a senior
criminology major and daughter of Mark and Denise Blondin of Sebring,
Fla.
Shi Broadwell,
branched Corps of Engineers, Active Duty. Broadwell is a senior
mathematics major who resides with parents David and Roxanne Broadwell
of Kathleen, Fla.
Forest Gibson,
branched Infantry, Active Duty. Gibson is a senior business administration
major and son of Roger and Patricia Gibson of Midvale, Idaho.
Brian Major,
branched Aviation, Active Duty. Major is a senior biology major.
He is the son of Robert and Nancy Major of Brooksville, Fla.
Jeromie Smith,
branched Signal Corps, Active Duty. Smith is a senior computer science
major and resides with parents Timothy Smith of Sarasota, Fla. and
Mary Smith of Bartow, Fla.
