FSC student chosen
as
ODK Province VIII Leader of the Year
LAKELAND, Fla. (April
9, 2003) - Florida Southern College student Heidi Kay Peterson was
chosen Leader of the Year by Omicron Delta Kappa's Province VIII.
Peterson, who was the student director of Province VIII, will be
among the 16 province nominees to compete for the ODK National Leader
of the Year Award.
ODK, the national leadership honor society, presents this award
to recognize students who have made a qualitative difference in
their institutions and in the lives of others. Dr. Robert H. Baum,
biology professor, says Peterson "was instrumental in bringing our
very successful and well attended ODK convention to Florida Southern
over spring break."
Peterson, a senior biology and chemistry major, plans to attend
medical school in Virginia this fall. She is the daughter of William
and Arlette Peterson of West Boyleston, Mass.
