FSC students selected for
"Who's Who Among Students in
American Universities and Colleges"

LAKELAND, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2001) - The 2002 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges" will include the names of 40 students from Florida Southern College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have selected these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success.

Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges rewards and recognizes individual academic excellence on a national level. Once selected, a student is a lifetime member. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Students named this year from Florida Southern College are:

Katherine Michele Adams, a senior, is majoring in Christian education. She is the daughter of John and Barbara Adams of Seminole, Fla.

Beth Ann Baldry is a senior majoring in communications. She is the daughter of Daniel and Wanda Baldry of Lakeland, Fla.

Lisa Julie Ball is a senior majoring in sociology and criminology. She is the daughter of John and Freda Ball of Cramlington Northumberland, England.

Nicole Lynn Bastian is a senior majoring in math. She is the daughter of Randall and June Bastian of Haines City, Fla.

Charleene Nicole Closshey is a senior majoring in sports management. She is the daughter of Charles and Jennifer Closshey of Plant City, Fla.

Loanne Collinsworth is a senior majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Luc and Sylvie Caullychurn of Vernon, France.

Christopher Ryan Dunne is a junior majoring in biology. He is the son of James and Cynthia Dunne of Lakeland, Fla.

Melinda Renee Fischer, a senior, is the daughter of Gary and Sherryll Fischer of Longwood, Fla.

Carmella Elizabeth Frederick is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of James and Deborah Frederick of Osprey, Fla.

Katie Ann Goehler is a senior majoring in education. She is the daughter of James and Paula Goehler of Naples, Fla.

Jennifer Jo Golden is a senior majoring in social science. She is the daughter of Dale and Joleen Golden of Remus, Mich.

James Derek Heard, a senior, is the son of James and Dollie Heard of Panama City, Fla.

Brenda Christine Held is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Anthony and Patricia Held of Gunnison, Colo.

Rachel Marie Jandeska is majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Gerry Jandeska and Linda Camp of Wheaton, Ill.

William Lyman Jeffries IV is a senior majoring in Christian education and sociology. He is the son of Mable Jean Jeffries of Lake Wales, Fla.

Marjorie Ruth King is a senior majoring in hotel management. She is the daughter of Dale and Robin King.

Melissa Ann Korelstein, a chemistry major, is the daughter of Victor and Rebecca Korelstein of Naples, Fla.

Sarah Kate Lanius is a junior majoring in English literature. She is the daughter of Steven Lanius of Newark, Del. and Gail Lanius of Bear, Del.

Lisa Mattingley is a senior majoring in math and criminology. She is the daughter of Mark Mattingley and Viviam Burbank of Panama City, Fla.

Brittany Lyn Maxwell is a junior majoring in religion. She is the daughter of Scott and Linda Maxwell of Orlando, Fla.

Norah Joan Myers, a biology major, is the daughter of John and Margaret Myers of Fishkill, N.Y.

Michael Nance is the son of Gary and Holly Cooper of Lakeland, Fla.

Renae Marie Neale is a senior majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of George and Barbara Neale of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Antonia Annlouise Newman, a business administration major, is the daughter of Lorenzo and Charlotte Newman of Atlanta, Ga.

Kathryn Organ is a senior majoring in broadcast journalism. She is the daughter of Harold W. Organ, Jr. of Chelmsford, Mass. and Jean R. Organ of Naples, Fla.

Beth A. Pendry is a senior majoring in history. She is the daughter of David and Patricia Pendry of Lakeland, Fla.

Allison Louise Pfundtner is a senior majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Allen and Deborah Pfundtner of Venice, Fla.

Jennifer J. Piloto is a senior majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Larry and Debra Piloto of Rotonda West, Fla.

Kristen L. Rexroad is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of James and Janice Rexroad of Grand Junction, Colo.

Sean P. Rhorer is a senior majoring in graphic design. He is the son of Frank and Nancy Rhorer of Lakeland, Fla.

John Jason Rodda is a senior majoring in business administration. He is the son of John and Becky Rodda of Lakeland, Fla.

Ken Sanford, a senior, is the son of Ken and Pat Sanford of Naples, Fla.

Shari Lynn Simon is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of James Simon of Lakeland, Fla. and Lynnanne DeMaria of Oldsmar, Fla.

Helena Marie Sorensen is a senior majoring in music education. She is the daughter of Howard and Gina Sorensen of Valrico, Fla.

Stacy Lyn Tolar is a senior majoring in music education. She is the daughter of Lee and Cheri Tolar of Sebring, Fla.

Andrea Beth Williams, a business administration major, is the daughter of Terry and Linda Williams of Sarasota, Fla.

Tracy Jo Williams is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Diane Williams of Philadelphia, Pa.

Michelle Denise Wilson is a senior majoring in music education. She is the daughter of James and Roxanne Wilson of Lakeland, Fla.

Jennifer Elizabeth Woerner is a senior majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Lance and Helen Woerner of Davie, Fla.

Ryan D. Young is a senior majoring in biology. He is the son of Roy D. and Suzanne Young of Quantico, Va.
