Southern College freshman
awarded $2,500 scholarship
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Nov. 27, 2001) - Florida Southern College freshman Rebecca S. Parsons
received a $2,500 scholarship from the United Parcel Service Scholarship
Program. The program provides scholarships to students based on
academic achievement and financial need.
Parsons will
graduate in the spring of 2005 with a degree in biology. She is
the daughter of Drew and Sandra Parsons of Henryville, Penn.
The UPS Scholarship
Program is administered by the Florida Independent College Fund,
a not-for-profit foundation for program and resources development
for the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF).
Based at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., ICUF is dedicated
to providing financial assistance to students attending Floridas
independent colleges and universities. Funds are granted by corporate
partners who are equally committed to providing the best educational
alternatives for todays college students.
