LAKELAND, Fla.
(April 1, 2002) - The Reverend Timothy S. Wright, Senior Pastor
at the Zellwood United Methodist Church, has been named as the new
Chaplain for Florida Southern College. The Reverend Wright will
begin his duties in June at the college. He is a 1994 graduate of
Florida Southern and received his Master of Divinity from Duke University
in 1998.
"I am excited
to continue my ministry at Florida Southern and to serve the church
and the college in this unique fashion," the Reverend commented.
"Having thoroughly enjoyed my time at FSC as an undergraduate,
I look forward to this opportunity to work with a new generation
of students as they discover all that FSC has to offer."
"Tim is
one of the most gifted younger ministers in the Conference,"
said the Reverend William S. Barnes, Senior Pastor at St. Luke's
United Methodist Church in Orlando, and a member of the FSC Board
of Trustees. "He has the commitment to the ministry and the
insight to Florida Southern which will make him tremendously successful."
