Southern College senior
awarded $3,000 scholarship
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Nov. 26, 2001) - Florida Southern College senior Pamela Allard
received a $3,000 scholarship from the LeRoy Collins Memorial Scholarship
Program. The program provides a $3,000 scholarship ($1,500 from
LeRoy and $1,500 from the host institution) to a senior student
who is planning a career in broadcasting.
Allard, treasurer
of the Student Government Association, will graduate in the spring
of 2002 with a degree in communication. She is the daughter of Paul
and Susan Allard of Sarasota, Fla.
The LeRoy Collins
Memorial Scholarship Program is administered by the Florida Independent
College Fund, a not-for-profit foundation for program and resources
development for the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida
(ICUF). Based at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., ICUF is
dedicated to providing financial assistance to students attending
Floridas independent colleges and universities. Funds are
granted by corporate partners who are equally committed to providing
the best educational alternatives for todays college students.
