Southern College hosts exhibition
of Lakeland Art Guild
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Feb. 19, 2002) - Florida Southern College will host the annual
Lakeland Art Guild Juried Exhibition in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning
March 5 and running through March 29. An opening reception, which
will be attended by the artists, takes place March 5 from 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m.
"The Lakeland
Art Guild has had its spring show at Florida Southern College for
many years," said Dr. James Rogers, art department chair. "FSC
faculty and students are regular participants in the show, which
represents a cross section of the excellent art that is being produced
in our community."
The Melvin Art
Gallery is open weekdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and before and during
intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series.
