awarded Sigma Delta Pi Cuernavaca Award
Jonathan Henry is first recipient of the newly established award
LAKELAND, Fla. (April 22, 2002) - Florida Southern College junior
Jonathan Henry has won the Sigma Delta Pi Cuernavaca Award, established
at Florida Southern in January. The $1,000 award is sponsored by
Dr. Luis Jimenez, a member of FSC's Department of Modern Languages,
for the purpose of assisting and encouraging worthy students to
attend Florida Southern College.
Henry is a criminology
major expecting to graduate in 2003. He is the son of Douglas and
Jacqueline Henry of Nashville, Tenn.
Students eligible
for the Sigma Delta Pi Cuernavaca Award must meet admission standards
of the college; must have ability and good character, showing promise
of future worth to society; must be a member in good standing of
Sigma Delta Pi, and will be given preference if there is financial
need.
