LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 28, 2002) - Florida Southern College honors alumnus Charles "Doc" Dockery, a 1961 graduate, at its Founders Day convocation March 15 at 10:10 a.m. in Branscomb Auditorium. Dockery will receive the Alumni Achievement Citation, awarded each year to FSC alumni for excellence in a profession or endeavor.

Dockery is currently president of Dockery Management Corporation and Crossroads Insurance Company, Ltd. He also chairs three other businesses and contributes his time to at least 15 political, civic, and fraternal organizations. He is a former editor and publisher of Florida Forum Magazine and trustee of Florida Tax Watch, a statewide watchdog for citizens' tax dollars.
