Choir of Harlem brings Christmas music
to Florida Southern
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Nov. 30, 2001) - The critically acclaimed Boys Choir of Harlem
performs at Florida Southerns Branscomb Auditorium on Dec.
12 at 7:30 p.m. The Christmas performance includes selections from
Handel and Vivaldi, spiritual tunes, and popular favorites.
Dr. Walter J.
Turnbull founded the choir in 1968 as the Ephesus Church Boys Choir.
It has since developed into the Boys Choir of Harlem, Inc., a major
performing arts and educational institution serving over 500 boys
and girls. The organizations mission is to provide students
with a broad-based program of education, counseling, and studies
in the performing arts to prepare them to become confident, motivated,
and successful adults.
Tickets are
$25. FSC students are admitted free of charge. For ticket information,
