Southern College Student Government Association elects new officers
(April 18, 2002) - Florida Southern's Student Government Association
has elected new officers for the coming year. The students were
elected by their fellow students in spring elections.
Sarah Hardwick, a senior economics major. Hardwick is the daughter
of Jon and Nancy Hardwick of Clifton, Va.
of Student Activities - Allison Elliott, a senior English major.
She is the daughter of Ronald and Nancy Elliott of Jacksonville,
of Finance - Rich Bishop, a junior mathematics and computer science
major. He is the son of Edward and Denise Bishop of Hudson, N.H.
Terry Bailey, Jr., a junior music education major. He is the son
of Terry and Lurease Bailey of Lakeland, Fla.
Jennifer Stuart, a senior elementary education major. She is the
daughter of Gary Turner of Springfield, Mass. and Theresa Chinchilla.
(2) - Heather Tyler, a senior and the daughter of Phillip and Mary
Tyler of Lake Wales, Fla.; and Pamela Halse, a junior and daughter
of Francis and Patricia Halse of Mbabane, Switzerland.
(3) - Joy Beurrier, a junior English major and daughter of Jim and
Paulette Beurrier of Stuart, Fla.; Kristina Haselier, a junior and
daughter of Robert Haselier and Mary Haselier of Lakeland, Fla.;
and Troy W. Pounds, a junior and son of Roger and Denise Pounds
of Lakeland, Fla.
Florida Southern is a four-year, private, co-educational liberal
arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The college
offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and a master of business
administration degree accredited by the Commission on Colleges of
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Located in Lakeland,
Fla., the college is home to the largest, single-site collection
of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the world.
