Jess
Trio of Vienna opens
Florida Southern's Chamber Series
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Oct. 5, 2001) - FSC welcomes the Jess Trio from Vienna for the
third season opening of the Chamber Series Oct. 19. The performance
begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Anne MacGregor Jenkins Recital Hall on
the FSC campus.
The trio - Kropfitsch siblings Johannes (piano), Elizabeth (violin),
and Stefan (cello) - made its American debut in 1988. Since then,
all three have won prizes in international competition, including
first prize in solo, duo, and trio classes.
The Jess Trio
appears in musical capitals throughout the world, including New
York, Boston, London, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, and Jerusalem. The
artists are all professors at the leading musical institutions in
Vienna.
Tickets are
$10 at the door and $5 for non-FSC students. FSC students are admitted
