Southern College hosts exhibition
of Polk County high school seniors
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Jan. 25, 2002) - Florida Southern College will host the third annual
juried exhibition of art by Polk County high school seniors in the
Melvin Art Gallery beginning Feb. 7 and running through March 1.
An opening reception will take place Feb. 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.,
with announcement of winners at 7:30 p.m.
Three prizes
will be awarded for tuition scholarships at Florida Southern: $2,500
first prize, $1,000 second prize and $500 third prize.
The Melvin Art
Gallery is open weekdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and before and during
intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series.
