Southern College senior
awarded $3,000 scholarship
LAKELAND, Fla.
(Nov. 26, 2001) - Florida Southern College senior Susan L. Cain
received a $3,000 scholarship from the Florida Bankers Educational
Foundation (FBEF) Outstanding Senior in Business and Finance Scholarship
Program. The program provides a $3,000 scholarship ($1,500 from
FBEF and $1,500 from the host institution) to a senior student majoring
in business or finance who is planning a career in banking.
Cain will graduate
in the spring of 2002 with a degree in business administration.
She lives in Lakeland, Fla. and is the daughter of Richard and Jalee
Gillenwater, also of Lakeland.
The FBEF Outstanding
Senior in Business and Finance Scholarship Program is administered
by the Florida Independent College Fund, a not-for-profit foundation
for program and resources development for the Independent Colleges
and Universities of Florida (ICUF). Based at Flagler College in
St. Augustine, Fla., ICUF is dedicated to providing financial assistance
to students attending Floridas independent colleges and universities.
Funds are granted by corporate partners who are equally committed
to providing the best educational alternatives for todays
college students.
