FSC
professor chosen for Student/Athlete
Distinguished Faculty Award
LAKELAND, Fla.
(April 25, 2003) - FSC business professor Craig Bythewood was chosen
by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the FSC Student/Athlete
Distinguished Faculty Award at the Honors Convocation April 16.
Bythewood was
recognized for his support of student-athletes and the FSC intercollegiate
athletics program. The support may take several forms - attendance
at athletic events, announcements of event times and places in class,
recognition in class of student-athletes' accomplishments, and willingness
to permit makeup work for classes/assignments missed because of
scheduled athletic events. Bythewood, according to fellow business
professor Duane Hopkins, did "all of the above." Bythewood
has been with FSC for two years.
