‘Child of the Sun’ Jazz Festival set for Saturday
Fireworks display over Lake Hollingsworth will cap off day’s festivities

What:

Florida Southern College’s annual "Child of the Sun" Jazz Festival featuring Tang ‘T Tang The Bebop Gang, the Mike Smith Trio, Elmollenium, the FSC Faculty Quartet and the FSC Jazz Ensemble.

Date/Time:

2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24

Fireworks display follows at 8 p.m.

Waterdome Plaza, Florida Southern College, Lakeland

Other Details:

The Child of the Sun Jazz Festival is a free event open to the public. People are welcome to bring lawn or folding chairs, blankets and coolers. However, alcoholic beverages are not permitted on Florida Southern’s campus.

Lake Hollingsworth Drive from Mississippi Avenue to Ingraham Avenue will be closed between 7:45 p.m. until the fireworks show is completed.
