New Students Orientation › The First-Year Seminar
The First-Year Seminar is an interdisciplinary, team-taught course focusing upon poverty and hunger in a global context. It is designed to introduce students to academic life, to integrate them into the various aspects of the campus community, and to foster their personal well-being. This course is required of entering first-year students but is not open to upper-level students.
FYS 101 is graded on an "A-F" scale and is required of entering first-year students but is not open to upper-level students. Passing this course is a graduation requirement for all Florida Southern students.
