Course Preferences

We are asking you to select several courses as options so that we may create a schedule with which you are comfortable, giving you the greatest opportunity for success. As you select courses, please keep in mind that you will most likely be placed in FYS and English, which will create six hours of your fall course schedule. FYS 101 - "First Year Seminar: Poverty and Hunger in Global Context"

The First-Year Seminar is an interdisciplinary, team-taught course focusing upon poverty and hunger in a global context. It is designed to introduce students to academic life, to integrate them into the various aspects of the campus community, and to foster their personal well-being. This course is required of entering first-year students but is not open to upper-level students.

Depending upon test scores, previous credit, and major requirements, you will be placed in the appropriate level of English.

Mathematics

Depending upon test scores, previous credit, and major requirements, you may be placed in the appropriate level of Mathematics. Please indicate your preference below.

*If you plan to seek a Bachelor of Arts degree, it is suggested that you begin your foreign language requirement during your first year. However, if you do not wish to take Spanish, other language options, including French and Greek, will be available during your sophomore year.
