Ashley Gentile ’13 is living proof that passion and preparation can take you anywhere. Last spring, she was accepted into the highly selective Oncology Nurse Practitioner program at Duke University—one of the only ones in the nation. Despite the prestigious nature of the program, Ashley is ultimately more excited about what comes after she crosses the stage next spring: contributing to the global health community.
Thanks to Prof. Malcolm Manners and FSC senior Adam Caple, a previously unknown variety of dracaena may be gracing people’s homes before long.
FSC alums came from far and near to the annual Homecoming weekend March 14-16.
Aeronautical engineer and author Homer Hickam, Jr., was the guest speaker at the March 14 Convocation, which marked the College’s 129th year.
Gilbert King’s lecture, sponsored by the Lawton Chiles, Jr., Center for Florida History, was based on his recent book, Devil in the Grove.
