LAKELAND (Dec. 14, 2011) – Florida Southern College continues to draw attention for its beautiful appearance, and now has been named as one of the most attractive campuses in the nation for runners.

The College was named as one of the “14 Most Beautiful Colleges for Runners” by the website Best Colleges Online (www.bestcollegesonline.com). The College was the only one from Florida in the list and one of four in the South.

Best Colleges Online cited Florida Southern’s Frank Lloyd Wright-designed campus as a “winner in the world of architecture.” The Annie Pfeiffer Chapel and the esplanades, or covered walkways, on campus were specifically mentioned as attractions.

Florida Southern is situated next to beautiful Lake Hollingsworth, which is circled by a three-mile path for walking, running and roller-blading.
