FSC Seniors Chosen to Participate in Prestigious National ODK Training Conference
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 25, 2010) — Florida Southern senior Rodney "Drew" Weseman is among 40 students nationwide to be selected to participate in Omicron Delta Kappa's annual Campus Leaders Today, Community Leaders Tomorrow (CLT2) program March 11-14 in Richmond, Va. Drew, a member of the ODK Circle at Florida Southern, is the son of Ted and Connie Weseman of Gainesville. In addition, FSC senior Alyssa Huebner, who serves as president of the College's ODK Circle and attended CLT2 last year in Phoenix, will serve as assistant program director at this year's conference. Alyssa is the daughter of Rorri Saint John and Michael Spears of Largo, Fla. The national leadership honor society ODK recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. CLT2, ODK's signature training program, brings together leaders from colleges around the nation with the intention of preparing them for service as board members for nonprofit organizations. In Richmond, the students will attend a series of lectures and discussions and meet with selected nonprofit board and staff members. |
