FSC Student Art on Display in Melvin Gallery

LAKELAND, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2009) — Florida Southern College's Art and Art History Department presents its Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Show in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning Nov. 20 and running through Dec. 10. The juried exhibition will include all media, from painting to ceramics to graphic design.

The highly anticipated Florida Art Award from the Maris Ozolins Fund is awarded to a junior each year at this show. This and other awards will be presented during the opening reception, which begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 20. The public is invited.

The Melvin Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and during intermissions of many performances of the FSC Festival of Fine Arts. For more information, please contact the gallery at 863.680.4743.
