Senior Art Students Display Creative Works at Annual Studio Art Show

LAKELAND, Fla. (April 3, 2009) — Florida Southern Colleges Department of Art and Art History presents its Senior Studio Art Show in the Melvin Art Gallery. The show began March 27 and will run through April 10. The John R. Reuter Award for the Outstanding Studio Artist was awarded to senior Elizabeth Chinchilla, daughter of Murel and Theresa Honor of Dunedin, during the opening night reception on March 27. 

Also exhibiting their works are Robyn Baker, a December 2008 graduate from Davenport; and seniors Krystal Foster, daughter of Steve and Nancy Foster of Cocoa; Katie Mohr, daughter of Tony and Kay Mohr of Orlando; and Amy Sartin, daughter of Barbara and William Sartin of Atlantic Beach.

The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during intermissions of many performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series. For more information, please contact the gallery at (863) 680-4743.
